Shawn Ogunseye, Ph.D.

Dr. Shawn Ogunseye is an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems at Bentley University. He earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. His undergraduate and master’s degrees are in Computer Science (and Maths). Before joining Bentley, he was on the faculty at the Sauder Business School, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada

Dr. Ogunseye’s research focuses on improving the analysis and design of information systems and analytics processes. He studies the role of cognition in the use of crowd-facing systems for both consumers and contributors of data. Some of his recent studies have focused on answering questions related to the design of crowd-facing systems to collect insightful decision-making data and the elicitation of contributor concepts (thoughts) from the data they provide. His research finds applicability in a wide range of domains including health care, e-commerce, and security. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and symposia in Canada, India, USA, Ireland, just to name a few.

With about 2 decades of consulting and industry experience, Dr. Ogunseye has led product development strategy and change processes for organizations.
